Article VI - Standing Committees
Section

The
Public Affairs Committee will have four functions:
(1) Sponsor a symposium to be presented each year at the annual
meeting on a subject of current interest to the Society members.
(2)
Develop informational materials to be used for public education
concerning Society activities and other relevant subjects.
(3)
Recommend individuals with special expertise, either within or outside
the Society, when requested by various groups or federal agencies.
(4)
Respond to specific inquiries from outside groups through the use
of subcommittees appointed by the PAC chairperson.
Actions
taken by these subcommittees will be conducted with the approval
of the full Committee and of the Society's President and/or Council.
