Environmental Health Perspectives Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) covers all disciplines engaged in the broad field of environmental health, including molecular studies related to environmental health and susceptibility. Environmental Health Information Service
Environmental Research Environmental Research: A Journal of Environmental Medicine and the Environmental Sciences publishes original reports describing studies of the toxic effects of environmental agents on humans and animals. The principal aims of the journal are to define the etiology of environmentally induced illness and to increase understanding of the mechanisms by which environmental agents cause disease. Academic Press
Food and Chemical Toxicology Food and Chemical Toxicology publishes original research reports and occasional interpretative reviews on the toxic effects, in animals or humans, of natural or synthetic chemicals occurring in the human environment. In addition to studies relating to food, water and other consumer products, papers on industrial and agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals are encouraged. Furthermore new areas such as safety evaluation of novel foods and biotechnologically derived products and inter-relationships between nutrition and toxicology are welcomed. Elsevier Publishing
International Archives of Occupational and Environmental health This journal contains articles relating to occupational or ambient environmental problems, especially on one of the following topics:
  • Clinical and epidemiological studies on morbidity and mortality
  • Clinical and epidemiological studies on parameters relevant to the estimation of health risks
  • Human experimental studies on environmental health effects (Animal experiments, only if relevant to pathogenetic aspects)
  • Methods for studying topics mentioned above
Springer Publishing
International Journal of Occ. and Env. Health IJOEH is an authoritative resource delivering up-to-date clinical and research information on the promotion of health in the workplace and on the wider issue of the relationship between human health and the environment. The journal provides cutting-edge articles on the global effort to protect workers' health and the environment. Each quarterly issue features original, peer-reviewed articles on matters of real interest and importance along with literature reviews, humanistic essays, case reports, special solicited contributions, editorials, news of meetings and courses, and a number of other features that promise lively reading. Hanley and Belfus Publications
Mutation Research This section of Mutation Research publishes complete research papers in all areas of mutation research which focus on fundamental mechanisms underlying phenotypic and genotypic expression of genetic damage, molecular mechanisms of mutagenesis including the relationship between genetic damage and its manifestation as hereditary diseases and cancers, as well as aging. Additionally, 'special issues' which bring together original research and review papers written from a particular viewpoint on a central theme of topical interest will also appear in this section. Elsevier Publishing
Mutation Research MUTATION RESEARCH - Genetic Toxicology and Environmental Mutagenesis publishes complete papers on the testing of chemicals for genetic toxicity, monitoring and/or surveillance of human populations for genotoxic effects, development, evaluation, and validation of new testing and monitoring methods, effects of environmental mutagens on species composition in ecosystems, and assessments of genetic risks resulting from induction of mutations in germ cells. Elsevier Publishing
Mutation Research Reviews The subject areas of Reviews in Mutation Research encompass the entire spectrum of the science of mutation research and its applications, with particular emphasis on the relationship between mutation and disease. Thus this section will cover advances in human genome research (including evolving technologies for mutation detection and functional genomics) with applications in clinical genetics, gene therapy and health risk assessment for environmental agents of concern. Genetic toxicology and environmental mutagenesis (including the factors that modulate the genetic activity of environmental agents) will continue to be prominent topics in this section. In addition to full-length reviews, mini-reviews on specific topical themes will be published. Elsevier Publishing
Neurotoxicology and teratology Neurotoxicology and Teratology presents original reports of systemic studies in the areas of adult neurotoxicology and developmental neurotoxicology in which the primary emphasis and theoretical context are on the nervous system and/or behavior. The Journal publishes original, peer-reviewed studies that cover the developmental and adult neurotoxicity of pesticides, drugs of abuse, pharmaceuticals, solvents, heavy metals, organometals, general industrial-use compounds, marine and plant toxins, atmospheric reaction compounds, and physical agents such as radiation and noise. Neurotoxicology and Teratology also features Brief Communications that concisely describe a new method, technique, or apparatus and experimental results. Minireviews and Open Peer Commentary series provide a timely update on selected aspects of a scientific field undergoing rapid change or on areas that present special methodological or interpretive problems. Elsevier Publishing
Toxicological Science Toxicological Sciences publishes research articles that are broadly relevant to assessing the potential adverse health effects resulting from exposure of human or animals to chemicals, drugs, natural products, or synthetic materials. Manuscripts are published in all areas of toxicology, both descriptive and mechanistic, as well as interpretive or theoretical investigations that elucidate the risk assessment implications of exposure to toxic agents alone or in combination. Studies may involve experimental animals or human subjects, or they may focus on in vitro methods or alternatives to the use of experimental animals. Oxford University Press
Toxicology Toxicology is a journal for the publication of original scientific papers on the biological effects arising from the administration of chemical compounds, principally to animals, tissues or cells, but also to man. Such compounds include industrial chemicals and residues, chemical contaminants, consumer products, drugs, metals, pesticides, food additives, cosmetics, and additives to animal feedstuff. Elsevier Publishing
Toxicology Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology publishes original scientific research pertaining to action on tissue structure or function resulting from administration of chemicals, drugs, or natural products to animals or humans. Articles address mechanistic approaches to physiological, biochemical, cellular, or molecular understanding of toxicologic/pathologic lesions and to methods used to describe these responses. Papers concerned with alternatives to the use of experimental animals are encouraged. Academdic Press
Xenobiotica Xenobiotica covers three main areas: general xenobiochemistry, including the metabolism and disposition of drugs and environmental chemicals in animals, plants and micro-organisms, and the related methodology; molecular toxicology, concerning mechanisms of toxicity and the study of toxicology at the molecular level; and clinical pharmacokinetics and metabolism, focusing on the pharmacokinetic behavior of foreign compounds in man.
